About Me

Hi, my name is Alan West and I live just outside London in West Drayton. Originally from Liverpool I served 15 years in the Royal Air Force after which I chose a career in IT.

I have been a keen photographer for a number of years now using exclusively Nikon equipment 

I started photography probably the way a lot of people do by taking snapshots whilst on holiday and progressing from there. Working mainly on wildlife at first I have progressed to portraiture. I am a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) and am constantly learning new techniques shooting both in a studio and outdoors.

I am willing to undertake all types of photographic work and will work paid or Time For Prints with models if it is mutually beneficial to our portfolios.
